When I was doing manuals I would do my blood pressure/weight/temp recordings in the morning, and my pressure was fine/normal. But doing the cycler, when I go to take my pressure after disconnecting, it is consistently in the 140s to 150s. I just took it an hour before I hooked up tonight and it was 137/78. Not shabby, but I was dry then. In the morning I leave 2000ml in, but even when I was doing manuals, my pressure wasn't elevated like this.
Curious...

Unsure as to why? All I do know is that when you have fluid on board you bp will be higher. Maybe your not taking enough off with the cycler?

We are in the same position as you, our neph is upping the BP meds.

When I first started the cycler, my BP spiked in the mornings. The nurse kept asking if I was pulling enough fluid off, and I kept saying YES-same amount as manual, but it turns out...I easily had an extra half liter hanging out. Since you are horizontal all night though, you don't see it in your ankles when you first wake. Try a stronger solution than what you think you need one night (and keep Gatorade next to the bed, in case you overdo it). Then check your BP after that.
