That is wonderful news. I hope that someday we get a letter, too.

That is marvelous!   I think I will be extremely excited if I ever here from donor's family.   I hope the letter is wonderful and they are doing ok after their loss.

I received the letter and pictures from my donor today and I cried as I looked at her photos and read her letter out loud to my husband Mike! I will share some quotes from the letter:  How she learned about donation....

" I heard about a Chicago Public School teacher who donated a kidney to a cashier at his local grocery store. It struck me- I guess I just did not realize that kidney donations had moved beyond family to family. I researched and came across a town hall meeting at Loyola University in Maywood , Illinois- a suburb of Chicago. After work I drove over to Loyola and attended the meeting" ~ Becky (Carols' donor)

"When I arrived there were only 4 people there-2 from the hospital and 2 in the audience. The 2 ladies in the audience were interested in donating to their cousin. After hearing Dr. Milner talk about the Pay it Forward program and the National Kidney Registry, I felt I had to try. It was a fantastic program and if I didn't do it, there was no one else in that room, on that day at least, that would." ~ Becky
