I know there has been discussion on weather or not to disclose you transplant during a job interview. I had my first interview a couple of weeks ago and when the gap in my resume came up I said that I had some health issues to deal with that are totally fine now. The interviewer seemed fine with my answer and was more concerned about weather or not I'd quit my last job or been let go. I didn't want to go too deep into the specifics and get the pity face from the interviewer.
I haven't heard anything back yet, so I'll let you know. I also put that I was a non-profit volunteer from 2006-present and listed several things I had done with my local school district, a local political party, and girl scouts.

Good for you! Keep us posted on how it turns out.

Hope you get the job and love it!!!!!

If I were an employer, I'd hire you! Anyone who could get through the whole transplant palaver would be a winner in my book!
Good luck to you, and well done!!!

Wow!!!! You're off and running, Bette! So happy for you, and I think your handling of the transplant issue was superb!
I hope you land the job of your dreams! Good luck!

Unfortunately, I didn't get the job. The company hired an internal candidate. But at least I got a new suit and experience with interviewing. I feel a bit better about the whole process and I'll keep plugging away

So sorry, Bette. :grouphug; I hope in the near future that you're on here telling us that you're so glad you did not get that first job, because now you have this SO MUCH BETTER job!
I'm impressed you got the first interview so quickly and handled yourself so smoothly. Keep at it, and we're with you the whole way!
