Gorgeous.  I can see you all sweeping down the stairs dressed to the nines going out somewhere special.

Very nice! Excellent for making an elegant entrance, I would say.

The scenario:
You are expecting some guests over for a party.  You are all dressed up in the long gown already to make your grand entrance down the spiral staircase.  You've been practicing this entrance all week.  A gentle glide down the staircase in your four inch heels, looking regal.  It will be quite the entrance!
The doorbell rings.  You send hubby downstairs to get the door so you can make your entrance.  As the door opens, you begin to glide down the staircase, your four inch heel on the right foot breaks off and sends you tumbling town the spiral staircase, head over heels.  You land ass over keester with your dress all akimbo at the bottom of the stair right in front of your guests. After they pick you up and ask if you are all right, the snide jokes and remarks begin.  Laughter all around. The only thing you hurt was your pride. You spend the night hearing recounts of your fall down the stairs.  Even one the guest's kids gives an excellent rendition of the fall of the evening on the stairs! The story stays with you for years.  There is even a picture of you at the bottom of the stairs.  One of your so called friends had a digital camera that night and was quick with it.  Whenever you invite people over from then on they ask you what the show will be this time around.

Next time you will be at the bottom looking like you just came down the stairs so you don't have to do a replay...or maybe the silver slippers would be a safer choice.

Kitkatz, are you imagining, or remembering?  ;)  Sounds awfully realistic to me.

I have not done that yet, but I have tripped in front of the cutest grocery packer in the parking lot at Krogers when I was a teen ager.  Those stairs always remind me to be careful going up or down them! It just sounded like something that would happen to me!
