Memorial and In-Honor Gifts in Recognition of Our Members

This idea came about as one member asked about making a donation to IHateDialysis when another member's husband passed away.

Description of Memorial and In-Honor Gifts

IHateDialysis (IHD) will accept donor gifts made in remembrance of deceased family members, friends or loved ones (memorial gifts) as well as those gifts made in honor of living individuals (in-honor gifts). Memorial gifts are often made in response to announcements in obituaries or memorial service programs.  In-honor gifts are often made in recognition of personal/professional accomplishments or important life occasions such as birthdays or retirements or transplants. This meaningful and lasting gift that will help kidney patients and their families through education and support from our online community.

When you make a gift, you can choose if, and how, you would like to notify the family of your gift:


Online gift:
To make a memorial gift online go to http://www.ihatedialysis.com/donate.htm and click on the "Paypal Donate" button.
In the box where it says "Your order summary" - fill in the box with the amount of your gift.
Send a separate email to ihatedialysis@yahoo.com and include this information:
- Is this a memorial or in-honor gift?
- Name of person gift is in memory or in honor of
- Name and address or email of family member you wish to be notified of gift (or let us know if no one needs to be notified of your gift)
- Your name, or member name, that you want mentioned in the notification

The funds will be sent to b.halcomb@comcast.net - Trina Halcomb (Epoman's widow)

Prefer to send your gift through the mail?
To make a gift by mail, simply send a check made payable to Trina Halcomb to:

Please include the following information with your check:

- Is this a memorial or in-honor gift?
- Name of person gift is in memory/honor of
- Name and address of family member you wish to be notified of gift
- Your name, or member name, that you want mentioned in the notification (or let us know if no one needs to be notified of your gift)

These gifts directly support our forum by paying for hosting, software updates and technical support. All administrators and moderators on IHateDialysis are volunteers and do not receive any financial benefit.
