Title: $$ Valcyte and Cell Cept Assistance Programs

Normally I am on a soap box, yelling about how expensive these drugs are.  I still question any company that "donates" $350,000,00.00 per year (yes, I was told three hundred and fifty million) yet still charges $70.00 per pill (Valcyte).

NOTE: - Cell Cept IS available as a generic.  (I am on a generic - which is cheaper - mycophenolate mofetil) some transplant clinics like to stay with name brand drugs - but many insurance companies try to fight paying for brand names like Cell Cept

That being said, we need all the help we can get.

Transplant patients covered by private insurance
1. Valcyte Co-pay Card
With this card, eligible patients can save up to 80% toward out-of-pocket expenses on every Valcyte prescription and refill. 2.  CellCept Coupon Card

Referrals to independent, nonprofit organizations (INOs)
Transplant Access Services can refer patients to an INO that provides co-pay assistance for their specific disease state. Genentech® Access to Care Foundation (GATCF)
GATCF was established to help qualified patients with unmet medical needs who are uninsured or rendered uninsured by payer denial and who meet specific insurance, financial, and medical criteria to receive Valcyte or CellCept free of charge
