I always felt that I was extremely healthy until I was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and emphysema. I then ended up in the operating room having triple bypass surgery and then found myself having dialysis. Instead of being healthy, I was a train wreck!!!! However, I am adjusting to this new way of life and am thankful for the kind and skillful staff at the clinic that I go to.
I have been having dialysis since August and just started using my fistula although my catheter is still in place.
The renal diet has been tricky and have tried to "be good" but there are times when I dream of a hot fudge sundae and a plate of spaghetti with a rich sauce.
I used to read and work puzzles but since using my fistula have played with my Ipad (I know I'm really lucky to have one)and while away the time playing scrabble and working jigsaw puzzles.
It is nice to have found a place where we all have dialysis in common. Life is good!

Hi Danish and welcome to IHD. Yes, I want an IPAD but our center will not get wifi. They say it is not a secure system with wifi. That is about as stupid as saying cell phones might mess up the machine. That is what they use to say but now everyone uses them including the staff. So, I guess someday they will catchup with technology. I'm glad things are going OK for you right now.
Stay tuned at IHD........

Yes, Navarre is only a few miles down the road; a lovely beach area. Thanks for the welcome.

Your clinic's reasoning in re wifi makes no sense to me. Hope the light dawns soon and you can get your Ipad.

So Danish, if you have any pets and need a good vet, my brother owns and operates the Wynn Haven Animal Clinic.
