Title: Hubby sets up cycler, news at 11:00
Post by: goofynina on January 01, 2007, 08:24:27 PM
Well everyone, after 7 months it has finally happend.  My hubby actually wanted to learn how to set up my cycler.  Now, he actually looks forward to setting it up for me, especially if he knows we are going to be coming home late, he does it before we leave and when i come home, VOILA, we are good to go.  I know to some this may seem not important, but to me, it is.   ::)  I hope you all encourage your love ones to learn (if they dont know how already)  it just makes life that much easier,  THANK YOU HONEY, I LOVE YOU DAMMIT ;) ;)  :cuddle;

My hubby, bless his heart, will drive me to the dialysis center on those afternoons I do not feel well and am tired, and then he will come pick me up four hours later without one complaint.  I know it does not sound like much but believe me it IS a big deal!

I am lucky too, either my son or my wife sets up my machine. It doesn't take long but it sure does help me motivate myself to get on the machine.

So Goofynina what did you do to make your husband want to learn to set up your machine?  :o >:D Nevermind, maybe I don't want to know.  ;)

That's great, Goofynina.  I think it's a good idea to have someone else who knows how to set up your cycler, because, what if you were sick and you couldn't do it?

You do have a good husband, but I think he has to be good to deserve you!

Bits of news like this are the things that really warm your heart.  Good job, Sam!  Goofynina, you are one fortunate young lady!

It really is a good idea to have someone else to know how to set it up, etc.
When I broke my hand I had to have a friend help me set up and the first
few times I had to instruct her how to do it.

awwwwwwww!! How sweet!!! Congrats goofynina!! I'm fortunate to have a supportive hubby too, but I think he'd be too nervous that he'd do something to hurt me...he's, um, a bit...technically challenged? LOL!! However, my sister and my cousin were allowed to go through training with me, so I have back up in case anything happens. My PD training Nurse was awesome, she skill checked them right along with me, and I feel confidant that either of them could get me connected. It's a good idea to have a second in case of emergencies! I always pre-set when I disconnect in the mornings too, and I find that's helpful. Maybe hubby will take the leap when he and I become more confident...In the meantime, I'M JEALOUS!!!
