Hello, my name is Lewis and I am a student in the Dialysis Tech program at a vocatonal school in Southeast Ohio. After almost 20 years of Law Enforcement I have decided to change career paths. I have also been an EMT for the past 10 years.
I work for a private ambulance company while I am going to school to help tread the water from the bills. I am hoping to start applying at Dialysis Clinics around May or June to start this new career. Projected end date for the class is the beginning of May, BUT with days like today with Ohio winters, that may be extended, YUCK..Love the class, but ready to get it over with and get things started.
Thanks :yahoo;

Hi, Lewis! I'm a fellow Buckeye and would give my right leg to live in Southeast Ohio. Have you ever been to Hocking Hills (Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, Rock House)?

:welcomesign; to IHD!!!

Desert Dancer, actually I live next to Tar Hollow State Park, and Hocking Hills is in the coverage area for the Fire Department that I run on ( Laurelville).

Well, it is old home week!! Tar Hollow State Park -- long ago memories. My mother, back in the early 70's to late 80's was the executive director of Community Camp - in the heart of Hocking Hills. It was about 10 miles to Lake Hope. We lived in Columbus, but every weekend and all summer, we lived at camp. The camp was on route 328 about 3 miles from New Plymouth. We were at all the caves, state parks, etc in the area on our 1 day off a week. I consider that more home than Columbus. The Hocking Hills willl always remind me of another life - simpler, easier. I will be visiting my sister this summer. We always make a trip down there (although the camp is long gone). I know exactly where Laurelville is. Maybe we will meet one day! Back to the welcome part!!! LOL Very glad you found us and I hope you post often. This is a great group. You are making all the Buckeyes post! Didn't know there was so many of us :2thumbsup; Welcome to IHD!
