Nephritic Greek Woman Gives Birth to Healthy Baby Boy
Posted on 17 January 2011 by Anastasia Brousou

A 28-year-old woman in Greece gave birth to a healthy baby boy, despite the fact that she suffers from renal insufficiency. Eirini is from Heraklion, Crete and is an example of strength and of having a will to live. The last fifteen years she has suffered from lupus erythematosus and renal insufficiency. As a result, she undergoes dialysis three days a week. Most doctors discouraged her, as they considered that a pregnancy would put her life in serious danger. She was determined to become a mother and she succeeded!
