Title: declotting and TPA
Post by: sullidog on January 19, 2011, 08:16:01 PM
Hi all,
Yesterday I had to have my graft declotted, It's weird, when they do a regular fistula gram I'm fine, but when they do a declot I get short of breath for only a minute, but I have bad indegestion for the rest of the day. This happens during every declot, I don't think it's the heperin, but I think it's from the TPA that they use to desolve the clot. I've told them about it but they are still using it, anyone else ever had this issue?

I dont really think they would stop using it because you get indigestion and i wouldnt think it was heparin as we are on some form of heparin every dialysis session and no one mentions indigestion from it.
