I've never posted anything before, so we'll see if this works. My ex-husband just started dialysis, coincident with a double bypass operation two weeks ago, but he seems to be doing impressively well on both fronts. He is 65 years old, and our daughters are 25 and 21, and I am 53, and we are all new to dialysis, so I'm just looking for whatever information I can find to offer whatever support I can to my ex and our girls. This website is the absolute best resource imaginable because it injects a little humor into what is otherwise a scary and unknown situation for us, so thank you to all of you for giving our family a place to get answers and support! Warmly, Dianne

How beyond lovely of you to want to support your ex. That shows an emotional maturity that I dare say I shall never acquire.
I hope you find all the information you're looking for here. Don't be shy, come join the discussions in the sections below....

Hi Dianne and welcome to IHD. I have to say you are a much bigger person than I.... I can only hope my ex gets kidney failure so I can know he is suffering! >:D
But, you will get support here and all your questions answered. Thank you for joining.
