Hi Everyone,
I am diagnosed with DKD (diabetic kidney Disease) a few months back, my createnine level is going up now it is 5.8. we are seeing our nephrologist frequently and getting blood tested everyweek.
I am sure many of you here would gone through this before but it's new to us, this has come to us like a big shock, chronic renal insufficiency and createnine level still rising, is it reaching end of my rope? I would like to hear what others are doing to keep pace with createnine level. I have not started dialysis yet.
Best regards,
Merry christmas and a new year to all.

G'day rk and :welcomesign;. It sure comes as a terrible shock. However, you've come to a very supportive site. You'll find that you're among a lot of understanding friends here. You are reaching the end of a particular strand of rope but you now move onto hanging onto a whole new one. I would suggest you thoroughly investigate this site and come back often to tell us how you are going.

Hello rk and :welcomesign; to IHD. I have never heard of the term diabetic kidney disease, and thought you meant damned kidney disease, LOL!!!! See, we are not haters of everything and a little bit of humor goes a long way sometimes. Check this site out thoroughly, you will be gald you did, as sometimes the members here know more than the nephs.

Hello and Welcome from :canadaflag;
I too have rising levels and loss of function progressing at an alarming rate, (so my neph tells me). I'm doing weekly blood work as well. I found this site, and its become an endless stream of support, information, and new friends. Now that you have introduced yourself, try the General Discussion, or Pre-Dialysis boards, (or any of the others), and try using the search features, you will find lots of information.
Jump right in, everyone here enjoys meeting new members...

Hello RKSingh and welcome to IHD. There are lots of things to look at while you wait to start dialysis. Read up on the different types of dialysis. Ask about getting on the transplant list right away. Best of all read this site...... learn and ask questions.
You have come to the right place!~
