Hey doods,

My name is Jay and I'm here because I wanna have friends n' junk.  I just got dialysis last Friday and I was wondering when I'll be getting my prescription for Marijuana and my handicap parking sticker.. :P

Anyways, I just wanna like fit in n' junk.  I'm kinda shy and have some friends...  I have a therapist and he's kind of a friend.  Ummmm...  oh, I have a neighbor who I see sometimes before I go to work.  Some days I'll say "Hi" and sometimes when I'm feeling nice I'll say "Hey, how's it goin'?".  He's kind of a friend.  I think his name is Matt.  I dunno, Mark maybe.  But it definitely starts with an "M".  I'm a dood and I'm in San Diego.  Uhhhh, I'm running out of things to say.  Bye...

Hi Jay and welcome to IHD.  Sorry you have to join the Big D gang but you'll find that while life may have changed, it's all still good.  The medical marijuana might happen in CA but I'm not sure if it applies to renal failure patients....let us know how that works out for you.   :welcomesign;

Welcome Jay,  :welcomesign;  Here is not only friends but family  :flower;   In 'real' life i too am shy, or even to the point of social phobic  :o   Here, well, it's another story. no fear  ;)  I hope you find the comfort to speak your mind and learn with the rest of us..  And your post made me smile..  Not that you have to have D, but your hopeful expectations of rewards for it..   Just kinda cute to me...

Too bad that you are on dialysis. IHD is a good coping mechanism.

Hi Jay, and welcome.  Not sure if you were just joking around, but you may be able to get medical marijuana depending on your state and the doctor you see.  It is inadvisable however if you are looking to get a transplant as some transplant centers will not even consider taking you because of it.
