Greetings to everyone.
I am from South Africa, currently on In-centre Hemodialysis after a long and frustrating descent into Chronic renal failure. I must confess right at the poutset that I am finding it a challenge to maintain my "Life Before Dialysis" at exactly the same intensity as before. I have found this site to be a great help, not only in terms of factual information, bur perhaps more in terms of seeing that my experience is really not that unique, and that there are indeed many others who also collapse into bed at the weekend, only to emerge on Sunday afternoon! Am greatly looking forward to further interaction with you all, and to learning and discovering as I go along.

To bump a thread on an internet forum is to post a reply to it purely in order to raise the thread's profile. This will typically return it to the top of the list of active threads. It has been suggested that "bump" is an acronym of "bring up my post",[1] however this is almost certainly a backronym and the usage is entirely consistent with the verb "bump" which means "to knock to a new position".[2] It can also be used in personal messages (PMs) or instant messages (IMs) on the Web, to return an older message to the top of the list.
