Dialysis Apps

Description

What a gift the App Store is to those on dialysis! iPhone and iPad Apps help the time fly by, offering an unprecedented variety of engaging, enjoyable activities for those receiving dialysis treatments.

No matter what one’s hobbies or interests are (or one’s age!), the App Store will surely have apps of interest. The challenge is finding the “right” apps, which will vary for each person.

To save time and money finding the “right” dialysis apps, the new iPhone/iPad app called “Dialysis Apps” has prepared a list of easy-to-use apps that can be operated with one hand -- puzzles, cards, sports, drawing, along with all kinds of games: trivia, arcade, casino, board, strategy...and more.

Dialysis Apps has been developed to improve the dialysis experience. We encourage the use of the iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad which can be brought in by dialysis patients themselves or made available by the dialysis center as an alternative to television.

Dialysis Apps provides recommendations for apps in a single category of health-related apps. If you want to search on other health-related categories, be sure to download Healthful Apps from Apps for All, which includes the following additional categories:

• Mood Lifters
• Relaxation Apps
• Caregiver Apps
• Alzheimer’s Apps
• Health Tracker Apps
• Memory & Focus Apps
• Autism Apps

Please note that centers without wifi will require a 3G-based device such as the iPhone 3GS or 3G iPad. If wifi is available, then any iPhone, iPod touch, or wifi iPad will work. Contact us at info@appsforall.net for best practice guidelines for dialysis centers.

That's pretty cool. I would really like an app that (works on my android platform) that could act as a billing record:
With those few questions I could get reminded, after I had coffee and woke up, to log the info from memory, Then the app would somehow provide the info to the unit.

A second app that could be used during treatment to log would be awesome. Especially if someone could get the NxStage cycler info out of the machine and on to my smart phone. Oh, and integrate it with my blood pressure cuff and scale.
