Cat's are already poised to pounce on ornaments, sleeping under the tree, and hyper playing around in the room with the large tree.

Needlephobic, nice festivle. Not even sure if we even have something like that in Chicago. Closest thing is a variety of Christmas trees in the Museum of Science and Industry.

Like a community castle, the 1922 Mediterranean-style mansion owned by ice-cream magnate George Balian, in Southern Californi, sits majestically aglow with thousands of lights, drawing busloads of visitors, pushcart vendors and strolling carolers.
For many, many years the Balian family has decorated their mansion and the 3.5 acre of land that surrounds it. In fact, they started the lighting display back in 1955!
The home originally was decorated with 10,000 colored lights and now the 10,000 lights cover just the front walkway alone. There are scenes like Santa Claus with his reindeer, elves, a nativity scene, and many others.

Never heard of the guy, but sort of could go for some ice cream. Kinda weird to me to have vendors on personal property unless they are selling company ice cream.

They are out in the street and on the sidewalk. Most are selling Santa hats with a flashing pompom thingy.
