Be careful with a weighted tube.  After mine flipped i asked the doctor why don't you just weigh them down so they don't flip.  he told me that is a big no-no.  he said if anything he would stitch it in a downward position.  When i asked why he explained that as i learned they move around and flip.  They move when our insides (intestines move) when we toss and turn excetra.
So if you have any kind of cramping or pain please get it looked at.  he told me he would never weight them cause they could get all tangeld inside of us and squeeze vital organs.

With that said i hope this is your last cath and things can move forward for you.

 :pray; for you that your 3rd catheter is successful. What a worrying time this must be.

I hope that the "third time's a charm".  Sorry to hear you have had to go through this three times...  Once is bad enough. :stressed;

Aloha, sorry to hear that, hopefully the third one will work.  A question how long do you have to stay in the hospital after the surgery?  When I got mine put in they kept in for a week then let me go home to heal up then come back for a week in the hospital to do PD training.   :pray; for you.
Aloha :waving;

I dont want to speak for Karina but Komomai must everyone that i know and to those i have spoke with here at IHD.  The surgery is usually in and out same day.  I had my cath put in around 9am and was out of the hospital by noon that same day.

As for PD training for most we would go to the clinic or facility where we would be stationed at and train for a day or a half day for about a week or so.   Then they send us home to do our own dialysis treatments.

I work fulltime and i was lucky enough to have been able to go straight to the cycler and bypass doing manuals.  Although i was trained on how to do Manuel's just in case i needed to ever do them.

A week in the hospital?  Did you feel like you needed to be in the hospital for a week.  Just curious.
