Well almost, I plan on going back there as soon as my wife-who just went back-finds out about dialysis in Cebu, Dumaguete, and maybe Bacolod. She's found out some info already, but there's still more to know.
We came back from a year and a half stay in PI last May,then I was diagnosed with kidney failure here in the US. I've been on dialysis since May of this year then.
There's some confusion as to whether I can get a transplant there...the National Kidney Institute in Manila says No foreigners can get a live transplant with a Filipino as a donor. But she talked to a nephrologist there who said it is possible because I'm married to a Filipino.
I'm getting hemo in my left arm fistula. If any Filipinos want to talk dialysis with me, send me a PM or email.

Hello ACRViper and welcome to IHD. I'm pretty sure you will get a transplant in the PI. That's the place to go from what I hear. :angel;
I'm so glad you found us. There are a lot of Filipino workers with dialysis in Sacramento. I wish they would sign on this site for you. I'm not living there now, but I use to.

Hi- I have no experience with dialysis in the phillipines- but I sure loved living there when I was a kid. Cebu was my favorite place, although we lived on Luzon at Clark Air Force Base. My mother was very adventourus and we traveled all over and made many friends there. I sure miss those street hotdogs- I have been craving them for 30 years. lol Plus Filipinos are the warmest friendliest peoples. Lucky you... :2thumbsup;
