Title: Visipaque
Post by: Stoday on November 02, 2010, 07:55:16 AM
I've just returned home from my angiography pre-assessment clinic.

I was particularly concerned about the contrast agent they were using because of my minimal renal function — I don't want to lose what remains because maintaining phosphorous and Potassium are not difficult at present. Anyway, they said that for renal patients they used a less aggressive agent — Visipaque.

Anyone had/used this?

I was also told that they would arrange for me to be dialysed immediately after the end of the procedure.
