I am 60 years old and have been on in center hemo for around 5 weeks (seems like a year).
My kidney failure was caused by Primary Amyloidosis (thus the name). My only hope is that
my treatment for the disease will flush the kidneys of the amyloids and that they are not
too damaged. If so, I could have dialysis cut down. It has happened for others in my boat.

Hello man, welcome to our group. Mate, I got to 75 before my kidneys gave up a few months ago so I know how you feel.

Hi Amyloid man and welcome to IHD. I sure hope you kidney function returns for you. It would be like getting out of prison! But, if you have to stay in our boat at least we can vent together and find solutions.
Hope you have a great time on here.
