Last year I dressed up as my tech with a bald head, glasses, scrubs and a Dodgers shirt and made fun of the fact that the Dodgers were knocked out of the playoffs. He loved it as did all the other employees.
They posted a sign this week asking the patients to wear a costume tomorrow to celebrate Halloween. I will be dressing up like the new FA and lampooning him. He holds meetings at the nurses station during my shift usually. I will be introducing myself as the new FU...I mean FA and will be implementing a few new rules. He tried to rotate the techs every couple of months but that did not work and he changed it back. I will be introducing "Speed Tech's". It is kind of like speed dating. Every 5 minutes I will ring a bell and the techs will switch 1 patient to the right. I will tell them that I am aware that they all want to spend time with their favorite patient, second shift, chair 1 (me) but each will get their turn. Starting next month they will no longer have the paper drapes they use to cover the chairs (for real). I will be announcing that since it is costly when the chairs break that they will be removing all chairs and patients may bring one in if they care to sit during their treatments. I will then just let them know that there are a few more rules and then unfold about 7 pages of rules. At the end of his meetings he gives out a Spirit Award certificate. I have printed one for my tech: certificate for the tech most likely to have all of his patients need him at once. He ends the meetings by handing a plastic sword to an employee who says, All for one!" and all the other employees respond, "and one for all!" I do have a plastic sword and will be ending my meeting the same.
This guy is new. I hope he has a sense of humor. :rofl;

Funny. You could issue all patients squirt guns to get the tech's attention. HA
-
OMG! The staff and patients were roaring. One of the nurses was crying she was laughing so hard. During dialysis the techs were walking by calling me boss and telling me I nailed it. He did have a sense of humor. He was dressed up as the world's most interesting guy.

This may be a dumb question, but what is an FA?
-
No, not a dumb question. He is the Facility Administrator. He is charge of the dialysis unit. Like the Manager.

:thumbup; what fun!
