I'm alergic to phenergan so I have to take zofran, my problem is my center only has phenergan and if I want zofran I have to bring it in myself, my question is since I'm alergic to phenergan shouldn't my d center accomodate me and start carying zofran? I mean it would make since because if I need it I have to ask a nurse for it and she has to get it out of my bag when she can just get it out and feed it through the lines.

i think the shooouuuuld doesnt mean they will though.
my center doesnt buy the super special tape for patients ,they have to get it themselves, but they do have a few options...

Can you just change centers?

Yes. I think you should be accomidated. You're alergic to the stuff they have - it's not right for you to have to take it and they should provide an option you CAN take - I do not think that is unreasonable - it's not really your choice or in your control that you're allergic!

I agree with Richard. Every procedure and every hospital I've ever experience has always started with the question.."Is there anything you are allergic to?" When I started here they even asked me whether I was allergic to the adhesive bandages they intended to use. I had a choice and so should you.

Certainly you should.
