Post by: del on December 15, 2006, 07:40:40 PM
My husband is on Fresenius 2008.  Have never heard of Nxstage until I started research.  I know it is hemo but how does it work.

It works just like the Fresenius - the difference is in the size, and the controls.  It is the first machine designed with home use in mind.  It is smaller - about the size of a 13" tv.  It is portable - 70 pounds.  That's not exceptionally light, but a strong person can carry it, and the usual models are at least 150, if not more.  It doesn't need special plumbing adaptors or any special wiring.  Check out epoman's sister site at ilovenxstage.com, or the actual nxstage website.
