Title: faced the needle today

well they tried to stick me with a 17g needle and i freaked out and panic so the nurse said we will try again sat Oh Lord  :banghead;

Did they give you some kind of sedative before?  And if they didn't, are they going to for next time?

Nope I do have xanax but i don't want to get a dictive to them

I think you need to consider that needing them three times a week to be able to get yourself hooked up to life-support equipment is not the same as needing them every day because you are addicted to them.  If D is the only time you are taking them, it's not likely you will get addicted to them anyhow - the stretches between doses are too far apart for that to really happen. Plus, the more exposure you have to the needles, the more likely it is that you will learn to handle the phobia without the xanax.  But you have to start to get there.
