hi,
my name is jay and i found this board while looking for info. on dialysis for my dad who has CHF
and now needs dialysis.

 :welcomesign;     Jay, hope we can be of assistance in helping you help your dad. My dad needed to go on dialysis when we found out he needed triple bypass surgery.  We have alport's syndrome in my family.

Welcome! Not everyone here is the actual dialysis patient. Some of us are loved ones, and like to research and discuss the problems our loved ones have. Welcome to the community and feel free to post whatever questions you want or suggestions you have, there is a wealth of experience, as well as unexperienced learning here.

Welcome, jay!  We are glad to have you with us.  Your dad is fortunate to have someone who cares for him. There is so much information here.  But not just information, there is also support, a chance to rant and vent when you need to, and even entertainment.  Welcome again! :grouphug;

Welcome Jay! How old are you? There are a LOT of people who've been on dialysis so long they can give you all kinds of advice here ;)
