Hey all, I've been on In-center HEMO for about 6 months now. Is there any another reason besides your b.p. meds and them taking off too much fluid to fast for you Blood Pressure to bottom out? My BP is usually a perfect 120/80, give or take a few numbers. My Labs are good, potassium is in check, etc.
Yesterday, everything was going great. I was at hour 3 of 4. Then suddenly, I got so lightheaded and sick to my stomach, I though I was going to . . . well, you know. I was so weak that I couldn't move or say anything. Luckly, a Tech noticed that I was all RED in the face, and she ran over and gave me some Saline and turned off the machine and didn't remove any more fluid.
It took about 15 minutes before I felt better, and my BP dropped to 72/47!!!!!!!! I was just curious if this is a sign of something else? :sos;

I haven't been eating anything different, and my weight flucuates a little bit but not much. I have not gained any weight lately, though. I've been dieting, so if anything, it should go down.

11 months on D with no problems, Friday they pulled 2.1 off and I stood up to leave ---- one hour later they told me I passed out and they must have removed little too much. BP went down to 80 over 62.

I only had dialysis for two months but every session was a nightmare. Once my bp dropped to 70/30 because two different people turned up my machine without checking. I would have killed them if I could have moved

Sorry this happened to you Hazmat, kind of scary but not uncommon at times.

That has happened to me a few times, too!! Scary experience, I wouldn't wish it on anyone....
It is a sure indicator that they are taking too much fluid off. I always double-check my tech's math when they're setting the machine for the run...

This used to happen to me regularly. They now have me hold my bp med on dialysis days and take it after dialysis. Problem solved. Maybe suggest this to your unit?

All great suggestions! Sorry, that any of you went through this! It is one of the worst feelings I've ever experienced. But, thank you for your replies and information.
