Hi Mike :welcomesign; to IHD. It does seem like most kidney failure comes with old age. There are some Young folks here so you will make friends & perhaps along your journey you may meet up with them someday.

Welcome to our community, Mike! Sorry you had to deal with such a challenge at such a young age, but I am also feeling the strength of your spirit, and I know you will make it through! :cuddle; You have chosen an excellent site. In fact, it is more than just a site - it is a family :grouphug; so you have lots of aunts and uncles here! Ths is just the place for information and support when you need them. Just enjoy all this site has to offer. And please keep posting so that we will know how you are doing.

Hi Mike and another big :welcomesign;
Renal failure so young is rough, but there are some other yunguns and you are cleverly flushing them out with your other thread. Good idea! My dear husband had his kidneys fail at 19, which is pretty old by your standards. Mind you he's all grown up now (43).
Post often, and let us know how you are doing. People here will be able to help you in some way or another with almost anything, but more likely you'll have interesting things to say to other people's dilemmas too, by the looks of your CV.
