Title: Stop picking on me !
Post by: KICKSTART on July 21, 2010, 05:06:50 AM: Jeez ..did i put ..i want to do dialysis on my wish list ? Yesterday i spent half my day in A & E then the other half at dialysis ..what a long day ! But to top it all , i had to face the 'wrath of the sister' (sounds like a star wars film :rofl;) My neck has been bothering me for ages (due to the position of the much lusted after beds by RM :rofl;) and yesterday ,just on my way into the unit my neck gave up and locked up totally ! I couldnt move it and the pain ..wow ! So i went up to the unit to say i had better make my way over to A& E to see what was going on. Did i get any sympathy? Nooooo i got ..well cant you do 3 and a half hours first , then go !!! HA ! At what point does dialysis turn you into Robocop? Anyway i went down to A& E first , had x-rays done , they recon its arthritis ..great now make me feel old as well ! No treatment , back up to dialysis and the scowls , sat for 3 hours in total agony. Good day all round !

Pretty sure it stands fo "Accident & Emergency" - so the ER room for we non English!!

Post by: Dianejt on July 21, 2010, 06:03:59 AM: Try using heat on your neck. I have arthritis & use a flax seed pillow heated up in the microwave, it helps ease the ache.

Post by: natnnnat on July 21, 2010, 06:17:10 AM: Yes I absolutely second that Diane: I have one of those wheat bags that is like a tube, and it wraps around my neck. I put it on my pillow (or instead of my pillow). I also have two hot water bottles for spinal care. :thumbup; :thumbup;
