Today my fistula was used for treatment, this was the third try. The first try it infiltrated, and the second it clotted right off the bat. It definitely wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, I'm sure the emla cream played part in that though, lol.

So glad it worked. Third time's the charm I guess. :flower;

Good for you, about time the durned thing worked.

It still kind of freaks me out but this also means I'm closer to having my catheter removed and being able to shower. :yahoo;

Nothing like a nice hot soapy shower!
:yahoo;

That is great!

Getting another step closer to that shower, they used two needles today. :2thumbsup;

LOL! I never thought that using TWO NEEDLES under any circumstances would be cause for celebration, but I guess what passes for good news is a bit warped for us kidney patients!
Let us know when you take that shower so that we can REALLY party! I'm serious! :beer1; :bandance; :yahoo;

I know, right. Never thought I would say, "Yay, two needles!" :rofl;
I shall keep you informed, I'm really hoping it's soon, as long as it keeps going as well as it has been!
