Hello my name is Stacy im 32 years old a mother of 3 crazy kids, I was diagnosed with good pastures syndrome in sept of last year.It is a auto immune disease, that turns your anti body against you, and the disease goes after your kidneys and lungs. It has been a wild ride!! I had never been sick before, I thought all i had was a UTI. The ER I went to sent me to scott and white in Temple Texas and after several blood transfusions and 14 treatments of Plasma pheresis I was able to leave the hospital and I started dialysis at Devita. I dunno if my kidneys will ever come back, I HATE DIALYSIS it makes me sick every time I go i puke and feel awful!! :puke;

:welcomesign; to IHD and I'm so very sorry that we meet on this forum because of kidney failure. However, this is a great spot for both information and support and although everyone's journey is different you will most always find someone here who can relate to the issue of the moment.

Welcome to our community, Stacy. This is a good place for you to come to vent, rant, rage or rave. It is also a great place for information and some real support. Please let us know how you are doing. I know that it is going to get better after a time. And remember that you are now part of the IHD family :grouphug; - a caring and sharing group.
