Well, friends, since it is now May 9th, we have only 4 weeks to plan our meet here in Riverside, Ca. Can we have a final head count and then plan who is bringing what?
We will need, Hot dogs and Buns ( Kitkatz? )
Side Dishes, 2 or 3
Drinks
Paper Supplies
Desserts ( I will make my world famous brownies )
condiments.
Probably easier for those who are driving closest to bring the perishables.
It is a pot luck, so. decide what you want to bring, even if it is not on the list and let me know, so we can get going.
P.S. Kit, where you able to get the raffle stuff done before you got sick?

I'm still planning on it and may be able to bring my co-founder of Kidney Beings with me. I'm planning on El Pollo Loco chicken. I still don't know exactly where it is. I assume that info will be provided at some point. BTW, Jean, that kitten is precious!

I can bring a side. Don't know what yet but Davita's website has some pretty good renal friendly recipes.

I have raffle things to bring. No one offended by Christmas stuff? I just need tog et raffle prizes. Hubby will be out of town that weekend. So I am bringing myself, I think, if I am up to it. May need a ride from someone. Should be healed by then, we shall see.
Hot dogs and buns are fine, I can just buy them at Staters. How many?

And I will also post the entire menu as soon as I know what it is. Christmas things offend some one? They had better not !!!! This is all in fun anyways.

Marc, this adorable little kitty is the most rambunctions animal I have ever seen. He is so entertaining, plays with anything he can get into and he gets into everything. He harasses and annoys sAra until she has had enough of him and then she just knocks him upside the head. So, no, he is not coming. Well, also, animals are not allowed in the area we will be in.

i would just love to, and probably would if i could find the extra travel money. however my dad, who will be 89 in a few days and has alzheimer's is my top priority this year. i need to make as many trips to oregon as possible this year, so a trip to california is just out of the question. take lots and lots of pictures for me, for all of us. i'm really excited for those that will be able to be there. i'll just have to beat that green thing into submission and hope that maybe i can make the next one. because there will be a next one. ihd'ers just can't stop meeting :2thumbsup;

At this point, here is the final breakdown.

Peleroja will be 2, bringing El Pollo Loco
YL guy will be 1, bringing a renal friendly side dish
Kit will be 1 bringing hot dogs and buns
ST 789 will be 1, bringing Pepsi and ice
Okarol will be 1, bringing coleslaw
Me, will be 2, bringing brownies, peach iced tea and renal friendly potato salad

Geri will be 1, bringing a dessert
Virg will be 1, bringing baked baked beans
Sue will be 1, bringining chip and guacamole.

No Alen, no Simon. He is being much nicer these days. Still a lot of fun in his kittenish awkward ways, as he falls all over himself. But you can pick him up now and he purrs like an ouboard motor. Now if we could just get him to use the litterbox. Sara and he play all the time, which is good for her, she was getting a little chubby and they both have their night time sleep spots in our bed. So cute.

One more person from here comeing. Her name is Yoshi, and she tells me she is in stage 4.5!!!! Dont know what she will bring, but she is one good cook. so dont care. You will like her also.

I just got back from Virginia (granddaughter's graduation) and I would love to attend. I live in San Diego so the meet is just up the street (read freeway) from me.
I am a stranger here because I have not posted hardly at all. But if you let me know where this shing-ding is taking place I will be there. And will bring something good to eat, or drink. W
hatever is needed. Or paper stuff.

It's hard for me to believe that in less than 24 hours, this will all be history. Unfortunately, Sluff and Okarol could not come. But, hey, life does throw up its roadblocks to us( boy, thats no news is it? ) I am sure we are going to have a great time and with any kind of luck, by this time tomorrow, you will all have pictures of us!!!

I am sorry too Kit. She did say she would try but with 33 accounts to get done by Sunday night, I dont see how she could do it. Did I mention that Paris sent us some wonderful gifts to raffle off and some candy for everyone? What a girl she is, huh?

I am so mad I could spit nails. Well, I would if I felt better. Yup, woke up with a sore throat, slight elevation in temperature and a very unhappy tummy, all the signs and symptoms of a cold. I love you all and don't want to be sharing my nasty germs with you (cuz you know I'm gonna want to get huggy and kissy). Please take lots of pictures and occasionally think of me :'(

OMG guys, we had the best time!!!! We had Kit, Marc, Bob and I, Renal Wife and her hubby and 3 girls from my mobile home park. Marc let them all feel his" thrill" and they were truly amazed, as was I. Kit showed us her scar from her surgery. With only 9 people, it was so cozy and intimate and every one got to talk and ask questions. I am so grateful to Kit and to Paris for the raffle gifts, every one loved them. thanks so much to Marc and Patty and every one for sharing all of their knowledge with my 3 friends. They were flabbergasted and now are going to try and take hold of this disease. I will do my best to post pictures today. My one friend said, do you do this every year? I told her, well, we could. so guess what, we probably will!!!

I came home from camping and then went right to the meet. It was wonderful. Many thanks to a Jean, Kitkatz and Paris (and Bob: Jean put him to work). I will post more later. I am exhausted!

I am so happy to see the photos.I just now got home from enumerating all day. Yesterday the crew leader (a new one because ours got laid off, partly due to pur below-par performance) counted up our binders and divided up all the work - with a big push to finish by 9:00 tonight! They told us to work overtime and to do whatever it took to get all the unfinished census forms counted. I am exhausted. I wish I could have made the party - looks like great fun. I am so sorry but hopefully there will be another one! Thanks for hosting Jean. Kit, I will get the dresses from you. I love my IHD family!

Thank you, Jean and Bob. Mr Renalwife and I had a wonderful time. We met everyone and it was as tho everyone knew each other all their life. What camaraderie!
We had hot dogs with and without mustard. Cold drinks which were really appreciated because it was a rather warmish day, (altho there was a very pleasant breeze). And fresh fruit, and chocolate cake with coconut and a bit of butterscotch, and some take-home brownies. Mr. Renalwife had a cup of coffee,along with the rest of the goodies.
We talked about lots of stuff. and laughed a lot. KitKat was a real pearl. The ladies were beautiful and the men handsome.
Thank you, Jean for hosting, thank you Bob for grilling the dogs, (note to the AHS, they were hot dogs), Thank you Paris for the beautiful purple blanket and carrier
that you stitched with IHD. Thank you KitKat for the prizes in the drawing. It was fun seeing what each of us had won.

Patty, I am so glad that you and Tom came. You are such a delight, and added so much to the party. Your sense of humor contributed so much to making it a great day. However, I wanted that purple blanket and was seriously thinking of mugging you, but with your spirit, you probably could have wiped me out, LOL

Renalwife, I am glad you liked the blanket. I wasn't sure if anyone would see it. Jean had mentioned keeping it for herself. :rofl; Sounds like a great time. Wish I had been there.

And I forgot to mention the potato salad. It was sooooo good. I think Jean said she put some horseradish in it. And I took some of Jean's brownies home. Yep, good with ice cold rice milk.
And yes, Paris, I just love the blanket. I'm not on dialysis (and don't plan on that experience in the near future), so I curled up with the blanket and took a nice nap.. It was so soft and pretty.
I'm looking foreward to L.V. whenever that will be. It is just up the street from me, via I-15 from San Diego. :grouphug;

Wish I could have been there but I was on the road. I just got home today first time since April 18th. I leave for Hawaii on Thursday morning, which is why I couldn't make the meetup. I will take pictures of Hawaii next weekend and post those for those of you that are interested.
Thank you to everyone who made this meeting a success, as usual Kitkatz and Paris came through. IHD is so blessd to have these Ladies as members. May God Bless you both.... :grouphug;

you all know how jealous i am. but there was no way i could manage a jaunt to ca and my trip to oregon too. i'm keeping my fingers crossed for lv. glad everyone had sunch a good time. kit the pictures are great.
