FREE BRACELETS - RAISE AWARENESS OF KIDNEY DISEASE

The American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) and Genzyme Corporation
are pleased to offer kidney disease awareness bracelets as symbols
of hope and strength for patients and their loved ones. There are three
different inspiring messages offered -- Hope, Reach Your Goals,
and Esperanza (Spanish for "hope"). For every bracelet requested,
Genzyme will make a donation to AAKP in support of its efforts
to serve all kidney patients. Currently, more than 12 million Americans
are affected by kidney disease.

To request a free kidney disease awareness bracelet, contact

Oh really? I thought the reason was that the colour was BLUE in the United States. I thought Green was just for Canada and maybe the UK. Guess I should not have assumed :P

Yeah I always thought green was for kidney disease, kidney transplant and
for organ donation. But the FREE Davita awareness bracelets are blue (and
they say "Kidney Health" on the side) -

So it must be DaVita colours eh? Well gee, why is everything of theirs blue? They think they're number one that their kidney donation bracelets should be blue too? Shouldn't it be green to promote organ donation and signing of the organ donor card??

Yeah, but they are about kidney awareness, not donors. So blue is cool to them!

Since my fistula operation, the hospital usually puts a blue band on my fistula arm - I think thats why the band is blue?
