I ordered a blind for my glass slider from Penney's and the guy put it up for me. It is fine except I have to push a button when I want to open it or close it. That's convenient! :sarcasm; Who the hell wants to do that? He was sorry that I wasn't just "thrilled" with my new instillation, but for $658 they should be voice comand!
The first kid that comes to my house will probably ruin it. They will go throw it open, like most blinds on sliders work and bamb it will be broken.
He suggested "I educate guests on how the drape works". Would that be a 1 or 2 credit class!!!
"F" word!

Rerun, I'm sitting here laughing out loud because you remind me a lot of my husband in this little rant. He gets so annoyed when everything gets all technical and complicated because he thinks that it's just more to break down and then cost more to fix. The best though are his thoughts about power windows on cars...he wishes he could still buy a crank down window since he worries that if he ever drives into a lake (not sure why he's thinking that might happen any time soon) then that's a death trap for ya. SO, he carries a "window smasher thingy" in the side of his door so if that should ever happen he can smash his way out. I tease him about this but then he shows me his bear spray for canoe trips that he also carries with him in the car....just in case...of a bear???or a hijacker???or an alien???
Oh yeah, and don't get him started on the remote control for the dehumidifier...hahaha.

Seriously, can you tape the button permanently down?

This thread has me laughing out loud, too. And Monrein, I am the one who always thinks "what if". I would rather just open the stupid blind manually and roll my window down! You husband and I would get along great! Rerun, "educate the guests" --- how funny! Should you give each guest a handout when they come in to "educate" them on how things run in your house??? :rofl; Let us know how and when it breaks :2thumbsup;
