Glad you found IHD. Plenty to read up on here. And feel free to ask any questions you may have. Wishing the best for your mom.

For your mum to have a family member well versed in dialysis will be very helpful. How is your mum's health overall? Does she have other medical issues besides renal failure (as if that's not enough...).
I know you will find a lot of information and support here. A lot of people are in your position. I'm your age, too, and my mother is also on dialysis, and I am due to start myself sometime soon, so I can appreciate you wanting to be supportive.

Welcome to IHD Graham. I'm sorry your Mother has to be on dialysis, but at least it is here for her. You are a wonderful son to care enough to research.
Lots of information on here. First thing you need to help her decide is which type of dialysis to use. There is in center hemo, home hemo, and Peritoneal Dialysis.
See you on the boards!
