Just want to introduce myself. Im Ed. I started dialysis Jan. 8. I found this board in Feb. Started lurking and reading. My friend Christy was approved to be my donor in mid Feb. after some twists and turns. I had the transplant Mar. 23 at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix and so far everything is going very well.  Reading all the transplant stories on this board helped me prepare for the surgery and the potential twists and turns down the road. I want thank everybody for sharing their experiences and I feel a trememdous kinship with everydody who has been/is going through dialysis. I will get into my story more in the transplant stories section. Good luck to everybody.

Welcome, Ed.  I am so glad this site was a help to you during all that you have gone through.  Now, you can help others as they start their journey.  I will be looking forward to learning more of your story.  Welcome to IHD   :cuddle;   And congratualtions on your new kidney.
