Well maybe not vapors, but I don't know what to call it.
We all I think have good days and bad days with dialysis. I had two bad days in a row, combined with me stopping 3 medicines because I had to wait to payday to refill. I ended up going two days without any sleep, an two days unable to eat. I ended up in hospital at 5 in morning shaking so bad I could not dial phone and my nerves so messed up I was having whelp appear on my back. Man I was jacked!!!
Finally I got back on my med's and they had calmed me down. After being fed I slept for 12 hours and am back normal :urcrazy; as always.
I hate to sound like a nut, but things just got too much for me.

Well, it's hardly ever just one thing, rather, it's usually a bunch of things that conspire to vaporize you. Bad dialysis, no sleep, no food, no meds...that'll do it. What did they do for you in the hospital? Did they tell you that something in particular was wrong?
A good night's sleep cures many a malady. I'm so glad you feel better, but I really am curious about what the docs at the hospital had to say.

Oh Bub I hope you are feeling a lot better now. It must be awful not being able to get your medication, is there no help out there for you because it sounds like this could happen again. You take care, you have been doing so well lately. Lots of hugs.
-
Sorry Bub , i can gather you didnt have a good time , but i cant really understand your post ..(becaue im english , not blonde :rofl; ) Vapours? Whelp on your back ?
-
Horrible to hear, Bub. You're now due for some really good days. Best wishes!
-
Gosh, Bub, there must be a better way for you to get your meds on time. That plus no sleep and no food, no wonder you couldnt relax. Hope that is the last of it for you. My Dr. has samples, not my Neph, my regular Dr. Sometimes I get some Plavix, which is expensive, and it stretches the drugs better from pay day to pay day.
-
Hey Bub! I hope you're better. So you think it is related to missing some of your meds? Don't know if you've seen this info but it might be helpful:
People who have trouble paying for all the medications their doctor prescribes may qualify for assistance from private programs. Most drug manufacturers have PAPs that give discounts to people who can show they can’t afford the cost of their prescribed medications. Nephrology social workers are well versed in assisting patients with the completion of these applications.
The Partnership for Prescription Assistance provides a website that directs patients, caregivers, and doctors to more than 275 public and private PAPs, including more than 150 programs offered by pharmaceutical companies. The website features an application wizard that helps a person determine which programs might be available. The web address is www.pparx.org. Medicare has also compiled information to help beneficiaries pay pharmaceutical expenses. Visit www.medicare.gov/bridging-the-gap.asp for more information or read Bridging the Coverage Gap at www.medicare.gov/publications.
NeedyMeds is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps people find appropriate PAPs. The NeedyMeds website provides a directory of PAPs that can be searched by a drug’s brand or generic name or by a program or company name. Applications for these programs are usually available online. The web address is www.NeedyMeds.org.
Anyway, please take care - sending you some hugs!! :cuddle; :cuddle;

That is awful to have happen. I am glad you feel better now. Take good care of yourself.

Sorry to hear of all your troubles, Bub. The welts are also called hives and are caused from nerves and stressful times. Or you can be allergic to something. My mother had them and I have had them too.
Glad you are feeling better now and why don't you look into things and see if you can get help with you meds.

What did they do for you in the hospital? Did they tell you that something in particular was wrong?
The first thing they tried was to dialize me. Mistake. Two hours into by 4 1/2 hour run and I am screaming to get off the machine. They took me off the machine and sent me back to the doctor at the emergency room (Dougie Howser). Finally got me calmed down and got me some of the medicine I needed.
Sorry Bub , i can gather you didnt have a good time , but i cant really understand your post ..(because im english , not blonde :rofl; ) Vapours? Whelp on your back ?
You dont know what the vapours are? Well me neither. ;) But women in the south used to get a case of the vapours regularly. And instead of whelps I should have said welts or hives. Just red marks on my skin that itched but hurt when touched.
-
Ahh now i understand ! Just of out interest ..the red marks on your back ..did you feel awful ill as well? Maybe its shingles?
-
Not shingles. I have had shingles before. These went away as quickly as they appeared. My nerves just got the better of me. I am such a woose.
