As I mentioned before, to help with my clearance. I have been put on 4/2.5 l bags at 2.3 glucose. I am finding that when I put the fluid in , there is a fair amount of pain. Feels a bit like ulcer pain but goes away whenever I drain so is not an ulcer. Have any others had similar experiences and any suggestions to overcome this annoyance? BTW, my blues have gone. Many thanks to Richard and Co for listing to my rant. It did help me get through a dark period.

I've had that problem too. Seems whenever I Fill - I get severe cramps in my entire torso region, sometimes brings tears. I don't have any pain upon draining though. I have asked my Dr. and nurse but they don't seem to know the answer.

Sometimes I get pain during a fill. I vaguely remember another post on here that mentioned it and said something about air bubbles that go up to your shoulders. That's what it feels like. I get out of bed and move around until the pain goes away. It involves some pretty funny contortions usually. There's no set move that works. I just keep trying new positions. Sorry there's no better advice.

What type of fluid are you using ? I believe there are 2 types (well over here there are!) Dianeal and Physioneal . I started on Physioneal and used that all the time but on a few occasions when i had to do an exchange at the hospital they didnt stock it , so i had to use Dianeal and i just couldnt tolerate it , it would make my stomach ache and burn like hell !!

I'm the opposite so far - no real pain on the fill, but pretty tough on the drain.

My pain varies.. I just started about 1 1/2 weeks ago and at the beginning only had drain pain at the end of the drain. I figured it told me when the fluid was all out of my belly. It usually did not hurt when it went in, but now I have some when it initially starts to fill.
I think it has to do with constipation and maybe bubbles in the line. The other night, I had what I would call moderate to severe cramping all throughout the drain. It freaked me out.. but it has varied since then.
Best of luck to everyone! This is quite a process!
