Title: Jesus Doll Rejected
Post by: Rerun on November 15, 2006, 06:12:06 PM
I guess the Toys for Tots rejected 4,000 foot tall talking Jesus Dolls due to religious reasons.  I can't believe this.  Christmas is the observance of the birth of Jesus.  If they are worried about a Jewish or Muslim kid getting one my question would be what the heck is a Jewish or Muslim kid doing on the Christmas list in the first place??

What happened to needy kids getting stuff they "need" like socks!

This stuff always pisses me off.  At work (when I use to be employed).......we would get a couple of families and we would get what they wanted for Christmas.  It wasn't socks or blankets or dolls, it was Ntindo, Varsity Basketballs, DVD's.......Crap at the time I didn't even have a DVD player!

I think the real deal is that Christmas isn't Christian anymore.

I have to agree with the Marines on this one - what kid would want to find one of these under the tree when they were hoping for something fun?

I would have a cow if my kid got a talking Jesus doll for Christmas.  What a toy!  I hope they go to an organization that can use them well for the holidays!

You're right.  There are a lot of people who celebrate Christmas as a cultural thing, rather than religious holiday.
