As the topic says, I saw the first Robin in our backyard today. My Mom always told me it means spring isn't far off. I know thats just a old wives tale, but to me, seeing one means that warmer weather and sunshine will soon take the place of Grey skies and SNOW. Its always been special to me, but this year it takes on a whole new meaning, with my new body part, and another chance at life.
I'm excited to get outside and start the repairs on our new home, getting it ready for either new paint or maybe siding, I haven't made that decision yet. One thing for sure is that the new swimming pool will be going up soon, along with a rear deck complete with a fire pit, thats been a dream of my Wifes and I for some time now. I feel like a little kid again, and as I said, am itching to get out there and get started. I have so much energy these days, its been somewhat of a waste with all the snow and cold temperatures. I hope this isn't a downer for some of you who are still awaiting your gift of life, I don't mean it to be taken that way. I'm just sharing feelings I haven't had in over 4 years now. God Bless all of you, and thanks for looking and sharing in my excitement, Joe.

Your know what Joe, I have the same thoughts when I see a bird that hasn't been around! For us in Alaska it's the Seagull..I love them!

Joe Paul, it is so good to read your excitement. I am so happy you are feeling good. It will be a good spring and summer and you can enjoy your new found freedom. I think our Mom's thought alike---I always look for the first robin every spring. Have a great day. :cuddle;

I loved this post JP and I too am thoroughly enjoying the energy that comes with a successful transplant. I know exactly what you mean about getting on with projects etc. It is hard to post the excitement because we want to be sensitive to those still waiting as well of course to those who can't have or don't want a transplant but I do know that when I was on D I became very excited just hearing about someone receiving this gift. Long may you have and appreciate this renewed zest for life.

I am so glad you are feeling so well. The last two days were gorgeous. I was able to go walking. I miss it.
-
I have noticed lots of singing birds back.
:clap;

My snowdrops are blooming, and my daffs are starting to push up. Spring reminds me that there is still reason to struggle to stay alive.

I went looking for my PJs last night. It's starting to cool down under.

Another beautiful day! So refreshing to see the sun. I went walking on my breaks with friends and people are smiling. In the mountains where I live we had anywhere from 4-6 feet of snow total from the last few storms. This is a welcome break.

I am so happy for you that you feel this way. How wonderful.
I heard a robin singing in the yard this week. Makes me think of Spring too.

That was such a lovely post. Thanks for sharing your excitement with us. All I have to say is YOU GO, JOE! :cuddle;

I'm a little jealous Joe Paul - I have not yet sighted a robin yet this year although the birds are much more active the last two weeks in the morning. It really "feels" like spring when I'm out early walking my doggies. :bandance; :bandance; I love this time of year when people are starting to get out and about after hibernation.
I'm so happy to know you are enjoying life with your transplant. Can't wait to hear when you actually have your pool installed and you are drinking some umbrella drinks on a floaty.

Congrats Joe Paul on feeling so goood and excited. It made me feel good just to read your post. We recently got a fire pit for our deck. They are really nice. The weather here in north Georgia has been wonderful the last few days. Going to be 67 here tomorrow. Thank goodness spring is on its way.
Love, Mimi
