:Kit n Stik; I was at home yesterday and my boss calls me, and asked if I could work a short shift because a co-worker of mine did a no show no call.. A few hours later, after dialysis, I'm eating dinner and this same co-worker calls me, and asks if I would work for him Friday because someone in his family died..... Well for some reason, this angered me because I had a death in the family, and I STILL managed to call work and let them know what happened, and he for some reason didn't! I just told him that I have dialysis on Fridays and could not work for him. I feel bad for him and his family, but at the same time, he should know better than not to show up or call work when something like that happens.

I agree, if I'm able I notify. I was in the hospital almost in a coma but still called work to give them an update. Some people though I guess just don't get it or don't have the curticy to do so. This person could also lose their job by continue to act this way.

You are right to feel angry. He was irresponsible and you had to pay for it. Of course it is sad he had a loss, but he knew the proper way to deal with it and his job.
