That reminded me of this thread http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?topic=2903.0
jbeany, you are number 461

I was 29.
Tamara was before me. I think she is the longest active member??
Epoman would have been on cloud 9.
-
Rerun, 29?! That is amazing! And now there is 4000---just incredible. :2thumbsup;

I am so divided on this subject. While I am happy that new folks have a great site like this to start asking questions, I am also saddened that the world keeps getting more and more people with kidney troubles. It's that old "double edged sword" thing. I wish there would never be any more kidney disease.
-
Well, peleroja, at least we have 4000 of them who are well educated about it!
461 out of 4000. Guess I have been around for a while!
-
Outstanding! I think when we hit 5000 we will have to have a contest or something, maybe give something away. Ideas anyone?
-
When Epoman died we had 800 members. Remember the little group that said we would fade away...? Remember the Admin we terminated because he thought the same thing? We have had a few bumps in the road but this site will live on as long as there is a need.
Thank you Epoman.

I am amazed at all of you that have been here for so long....... I see often reading older post many people who were here and are not......there is only a hand full that really still continue to post....... I am a newbie..... No wonder you old timers dont have much to say to us newbies......... you see us come and go.....LOL
:stressed; :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;
-
Yes, I will continue to answer the same questions year after year if I have to.
:clap;

Tyefly, I do hope you felt welcomed when you joined. It took me a long time before I was comfortable posting. I needed to learn about some members, how people post, just get the feel. Then little by little, I felt right at home. There are a lot of people to meet and then remember their story. I actually keep a notebook so I don't ask someone the wrong question. I enjoy meeting others who know what I am going through. Like right now it is almost 12:30. I went to bed 2 hours ago and can't sleep. So I am up again, pacing the floors and playing on the computer. Good thing someone is always here 24/7!!

I did feel very welcomed from the first day...... And I think others have too..... I do realize that people come and go for different reasons...... Sometimes when reading other post ..... I can feel their lives too..... It might be just a brief time but it was real time......

I celebrate each new member because it makes our voice stronger when it comes to care, legislation and understanding if we are educated - knowledge is power. There are 300,000 patients on dialysis in the US, and only a small percentage know there are supports forums such as this one. I have learned so much from all of you, and I am grateful that IHD exists.
And I am grateful Okarol exists. ;D

Congrats on reaching 4000... I have a question, there may be 4000 persons who have come onto the site but why are there only and probably about 100 if that many who post on a regular basis and have stayed around, how do you account for that being a 4000 person board? Just asking because this is the only place I have ever posted too. :shy;
-
Many only read the posts and are here just for information. Others love the friendships they find. I am here for a little of both. There are 4000 members --- can only imagine how many read posts but never joined.

A notebook. Uh oh...I wonder what it says about me? :shy;
I bet it says TROUBLE! :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;

Hmmmmmmmm ------- YL do you really want to know? :rofl; With my memory, I would be asking how you like living in Montana instead of CA!! I have always been a note taker. I had the best notes in school. Now, it is just out of necessity! :rofl;
