:'( I woke up last night to hear my dad leaving. I asked mom what was going on and she told me that Grandma had been bleeding and coughed up blood clots. My Aunt Joni called the ambulance which grandma didn't want- she hated hospitals, but my aunt couldn't handle it by herself so Grandma agreed to go. They had breathing tubes put in her which Grandma didn't like, and after awhile my dad and aunt asked for them to be removed and that my Grandma be sedated more so she could rest and be comfortable. She then began the 'death rattle' and shallow breaths, which I guess went on for a little while, my aunt and dad were just talking to her , telling her that it was okay to go- to go see Grandpa and everyone else. She died peacefully. I just wish I had gotten to see her one last time..

Karen, I'm so sorry that you missed being able to say good bye. Even though I was with my mom when she died, I still talk to her. You can do that, too. In fact, my grandmother died 30 years ago and I still talk to her, too. I was very close to her.
Remember the good times, the love and the full life that your grandmother had. Your memories will keep her alive in your heart.
My thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Karen, my thoughts are with you. It is hard to lose someone we love and harder still when we don't get to say goodbye. But it sounds like she went away in peace and that is truly a blessing for her as well as those that love her.

I am sorry for your loss. My Father-in-law just passed away also. It was hard on my wife and Brother-in-law. They Only started feeling better after the funeral, they got to say their goodbyes and the healing process started. I wish you and your family the best.

Thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers, we all appreciate it. I am just tired now and my eyes feel all puffy! I took a bath a bit ago so that made me feel better a bit. I just hope for my dads sake that nothing goes wrong with dealing with the will and stuff. He has a sister, who lets just say is not his best friend and my mom is worried she will try and take over and not be fair, etc.. I just pray it all goes smoothly, I cannot deal with family drama at a time like this :Kit n Stik;
