Title: Itchy Eyes

I know itchy skin and red eyes are signs of high phosphorus, but are itchy eyes a sign of high phosphorus?

Oh great- my eyes are itchy like crazy.

I'm not on dialysis yet- I get my pd catheter next week and will hopefully be able to start training in a few weeks. Until then, is there anyway to lower my phosphorus? I'm watching my diet extremely closely and trying to stay under 600 mg phosphorus a day; I'm also taking Tums. I've been told once I start pd it should get better; but until then can I do anything to drop it (it's at least 7.0 I'd guess- I want it 5.5 or less).
