I kind of wish we had one.  Only have a little TV but it does have hi def (though crappy sounds).  On my laptop you can type by clickling letters from a screen designed like a keyboard.  I've tried it but one finger is easier.

I'm sorry, Rob! :( That sounds horribly frustrating. I haven't used that type of device before, but what you're describing would quickly send me insane. I can't get perfectly functioning machines to work half the time, so I feel for you. Wish I could help.

Bad, bad touchscreen!  :Kit n Stik;

Rob,
but you would be dangerous if you could type!  :rofl; :rofl;

No, really, I understand how frustrating it is. Being able to communicate is of such importance and this must be making you....

 :o

Take care.

       Thanks everyone for the support.  :clap;   I am home now and using two hands and keyboard and still can't type :ROFL; :rofl; :rofl;  Do not try typing errors like this at home kids, this is done here by a professional  :rofl;
        First time I've had the darn thing goof up on me and it was frustrating.  Took me two hours to type my "entry" into the "Is there a God Wars".
        I was just curious if anyone had used these terminals before, and what was their experiences with them.  Also, wondering if all their facilities have them or just a few.

Dan, would you agree though that being on the internet and IHD while hooked up to the machine does seem to make the time go faster?

We have nothing like that at my dialysis unit (DSI) we still have HUGE TV's up on the ceiling which could fall on you.

At home Tia puppy wants up the minute I sit down on the computer.  What have I started!    :P

What I did see on the news this morning which I'm going to look into is e-books.  Looks like a book on this little ipod thing which you just hit an arrow to turn a page.  I only have one had at dialysis.

Rob, I look at email, then read IHD posts and occasionally one finger typing something to you.  The rest of my time is usually spent with a movie (I know downloading moviies isn't safe but..) or watching you tube videos.  Sometimes I read ok show to the staff IHD posts --  especially the funny ones.  I've  got a great chair on the end (slightly isolated) where everyone has to pass to get to other bays, medication and break rooms.  May favorite part is all the people who stop and talk to me.  I know almost everyone in that large unit from top management  to the janitors and below.  Aside from  the needles and 4 hours of limited movement, it is a good arrangement.  At home I can go for days without seeing another person.

Rerun, I too  would like to find a good ebook  outlet.  Let me know if you find one and I'll  do the same.

Rob, we had a copier at work that had a touch screen that would give you a keyboard display to enter data.  It was very frustrating because I had to touch the keys several times to get it to register the letter and then sometimes it would enter duplicates when I only touched it once.  Give me a real keyboard....

Not sure about the terminal your using but we have one of the HP touchscreen computers (using it now) its esp bad a night becuase i'll be happily typing away on IHD when some stupid bug lands on the screen, moves the mouse pointer and everything stops. New programmes open and it all goes Blah. even tiny weeny mozzies do it!
