Okay, I got my stint out (again) this morning. We're going to do another creatinine level next week (currently I'm at 1.31 - upon discharge from surgery on the 17th I was 1.5, but it was thought to be due to dehydration, so I am down. Since transplant I've been staying around 1.1 - 1.2), and follow-up with my post-transplant doctor in 2 weeks. If creatinine stays down I will have a follow-up with the Urologist who removed the stint in 6 weeks. What we're hoping for is that my ureter has opened up enough so that I no longer require the stint. To be more specific, hoping the "stricture" is gone and that urine runs through that sucker fast and often. :pray;

Got my fingers crossed for you!

Fingers, Toes, and everything else crossable crossed for you!...
Very best of luck.... :grouphug;

Really, really hoping for an end to the stents Kelly. One is enough and for as short a time as possible. I was amazed by how long the original one put in during the transplant was.
-
Thanks everyone. Actually, my original stent came out in Dec 2008 or Jan of 2009, only a few months following transplant. Is that considered long in Canada, Monrein?
My 2nd stent was placed in early Oct and removed during my surgery on the 16th of this month. The stent that was placed during that surgery came out today. I sure hope I'm done with the stents. :puke;

Hope all is well.

Thinking of you, Kelly. I hope your stint with stents is OVER!

OMG I had the absolutel worst bladder spasms last night that I have ever had. So painful. It felt like someone had my bladder in their hands and they were squeezing it. Today is much better, but then again I got up first thing and took some Tylenol. Man that was a strange and painful feeling. :stressed;

I had that for about 12 hours after they removed my stent and it's a really weird (and not in a good way weird) feeling.

I've been sending positive thoughts your way, Kelly, just forgot to let you know. :oops;
You've been through enough - time to get a much deserved break and get back to enjoying your post-transplant life. Good luck. :bestwishes; :flower;
