The nurse was here yesterday (Oct. 30th) and noticed that dad's jowls seem to be retaining some fluid and he has a bit of a jaundice look now. His appetite isn't the greatest, but he hasn't been complaining about feeling badly or anything, so in good spirits. His nurse said that he's actually doing fine for the shape he's in (referring to the kidney failure and stopping dialysis), so he's hanging in there and for that I'm very grateful. We laugh and joke about everyday little cute things that our puppy does and spend a bit of quality time together here and there throughout the day, but most of the time dad falls asleep in his recliner with his feet propped up on our very rustic coffee table....lol.
I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your responses and prayers, good thoughts of well-being, etc. This is such an awesome group of people and I admire your strength and positiveness during this blessed adventure we call "life":) Thanks bunches!
Happy Halloween:)

Hi Rhonda
I have been thinking about you, your Dad and the family.
I am so glad that he is not suffering badly and seems to be feeling
well and is comfortable. That is a real blessing.
Glad that you are getting some quality time to make memories.
Thanks for taking the time to update us.
Know that I'm keeping you in prayer.

Thank you for getting back to us. He must still be producing "some" urine? I'm glad he is comfortable.

Thank you for the update. It is a true blessing that you are still making those quality memories which will be with your forever, and that he is still able to enjoy time with you. Hug him often -- my only regret is that I didn't hug my brother more often as I sat with and cared for him. :cuddle;
