Title: time change
Post by: Ohio Buckeye on October 29, 2006, 06:36:21 PM
Boy, I hate it when the time changes again and it gets dark so early.
right before beggars eve., how stupid is that?
At least in the fall it goes back instead of losing an hour.
Wish it was same time all year.
So hard to adjust to time changes.
Do you all have them also?

I hate it when we lose the hour.  My body just does not adapt well to that time change. Why can't we just leave it alone? Isn't it some time, somewhere in the world all of the time?

We have just started our daylight saving for the summer, takes abit to get used to but at least its light when i get home from work, it stays light to7.30pm so you get things done outside if need be.

We just ended British Summer Time and this weekend we had an extra hour on Sunday. It is great when you get the extra hour, but from now on it is going to get dark early.

I don't like it either.  I can't drive at night, so for the next six months my wings are clipped.

Interesting point:  In India they just change schedules.  If you go to dialysis at 8......now you will go at 9.  If your kids catch the bus at 7:30......now they will catch the bus at 8:30.  If the shops usually open at 8:15......now they open at 9:15.

I hate the way we do it but it is easier than India!!

I never used to like the shortened days and especially the early nightfall but  now have a new appreciation for standard time.  My morning commute is pretty rough and tumble.  A battle just to get to the freeway and then sometimes a war to make progress when it is dark.  Now that we're back on standard time I have light early in the morning and that makes a huge positive difference.  People drive faster and since they can see better they just aren't as sloppy as they can be in the dark.  To most people reading this post what I'm saying might not make alot of sense.  Here in California things are hectic...I like getting to work in one piece and on time!  ;D

We stay the same time all the year round.  When Eastern time 'springs forward', then we are the same as Eastern Time, but when it 'falls back', then it is one hour behind us.  Our time is called Atlantic Time and is the same as Caracas, Venezuela.
