Both my son's use to have a hampster. It was cute when they'd roll around in the hampster ball.  One hamspter like to nip, while the other was a bit more friendly.

I had a hamster and my kids both had hamsters.  I love them little creatures.  We had one hamster who was a farmer.  He would plant little bits of seed under the water bottle and in a week would have fresh greens to eat. He was also the hamster who would run so hard n the wheel he would get it going so fast if would flip him over two or three times.  We would watch him do this to himself several times before he got tired of it.   I was always careful to wake the hamster up before picking him up out of the cage because they bite when startled out of sleep.   We have also had pet rats and guinea pigs.  Danielle now has two birds a Green parrot Macaw and an Indian Ringneck. Both talk.
