Today was supposed to be the first day in Las Vegas.  I felt bad that it was canceled so I thought I would surprise Kitkatz with a visit.  I remembered that she posted her dialysis center information awhile back and I searched her posts until I found it.  We both go to Davita centers.  After football practice I grabbed my Davita bag,  threw some treats (dark chocolate) in it and headed out.  Her center is just over a half hour away.  When I got there I rung the doorbell and they let me into the lobby.  A tech opened the door and asked if he could help me.  I asked him if my chair was ready.  He looked at me and then my Davita bag and then me and then my Davita bag.  I finally broke the silence by telling him I was just kidding and I was there to see Katherine.  I thought it was funny.  Katherine thought it was funny when I told her.  The tech, he didn't think it was so funny.  He went back and told Kitkatz that Marc was here from IHD and she gave the okay for me to go back and visit her.  I had a very nice chat with her which I enjoyed very much.  With it being nocturnal we had speak very softly.  Even though we didn't get to go to Vegas we had our own little get together.

That is so neat, Marc. It's a nice center, dont you think? The techs are going to have to move Kit out in to the center of the room, with all the company she gets. Glad you decided to go and meet her. Dont forget to come and visit when I go on Dialysis too, same center.

Thank you YL for taking time to surprise Kit.  It takes a lot to surprise her!   Your kind heart shined through by brightening her night.  We love you for making Kitkatz happy    :grouphug;

It was an awesome surprise to see YLGuy. He even brought me chocolate!  It was great!  He stayed for about an hour ad I am sure we drove those other patients crazy with our conversation.  I enjoyed the visit very much.  Thanks for coming by. Now if we just get everyone else to come in we could have a real party.

This is the spirit of IHD!  So great when family members get together, and especially for such a thoughtful reason.  That was great of you, YLGuy!

Your act of kindness was so inspiring.  A little of your time gave Kitkatz a special memory.  And once you meet a fellow IHDer, you are friends for life!    Makes me think "what random act of kindness can I do for a fellow IHDer?"   Thanks for the inspiration.   :cuddle;
